A Neutral Nursery

The journey to creating a neutral, functional and cozy nursery space in our small home!

When we found out we were pregnant, one of the first things my brain started planning is what the nursery would look like! I knew we’d be getting rid of our office space and turning that room into baby’s room, but from there, I wasn’t sure where to begin. I knew I wanted a space that felt comfortable and was also functional, since we’d be spending a lot of time in there. I know some people say they don’t use their nursery much for the first few months, but because our house is 1,100 sq. ft., we knew we’d be needing to use this space right away!

For the longest time, this space became the holding place for all things baby, as we slowly made progress. I also ended up having to separate this precious dog print into two separate frames so that the Nanit could go down the middle.

Our dog was the best little buddy while I read + dreamed in our rocker. I spent a lot of days in here and he was also right by my side- I think he could tell something fun was coming!

And finally- the finished product! My photos app says I took these 2 days before my scheduled C-section. My pregnancy brain doesn’t totally remember the final process, but I’m just glad we got it done before our little guy got here!
